Swim, wade, paddle board, ski, picnic, build sand castles, sun bathe or fish from the banks. If you have a boat you can launch at Edgewater Park (1mile) Appalachia Bay (5 miles) or Keystone State Park (14 miles) and boat-in for the day or weekend. To fish on the Arkansas arm of Keystone you can launch your boat at Cowskin Bay (2.9 miles). You are most likely to catch Stripers, Sand Bass, Black Bass or Catfish. The Cimarron River arm of the lake is great for long straight stretches for water skiing.
Cimarron Bend RV Park is in a quiet community with a lot of wildlife such as deer, coyotes howling at night, the occasional Bob Cat, yellow Cougar, and black Panther have all been sited here. You will regularly see all the usual birds and large red-headed wood peckers, small woodpeckers, painted buntings, road runners, wild turkey, geese, ducks, hawks, bald eagles. The different seasons bring very different things to watch as well as the trees and flowers.
